Colin Farrell fought hard to get his version of The Penguin to smoke tobacco in Batman (2022), but failed
Narrative
After the events of Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, attempts to take over Gotham’s criminal underworld. From melted makeup to filming in sub-zero temperatures, Colin Farrell and Kristin Miliotti discuss getting into character during the production of The Penguin. For his own series, however, the character is depicted as a casual tobacco user, with a preference for cigars.

An umbrella falls and the logo changes to the Warner Bros. logo. Starring Graham Norton and Guests: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024).
Plus Cristin Miliotti is as good as Sofia Falcone
I’ve been waiting for The Penguin since it was first announced that he would be appearing in a series, and I can tell you it’s every bit as good as I expected. Colin Farrell is absolutely fantastic as Oz Cobb aka The Penguin. He was great in Batman and is even better in a lead role.
I hope we get more stories like this from this world
The two clash to see who is Gotham’s #1 gangster and to “bring order to all the chaos” Some people were worried that a supporting character like The Penguin couldn’t carry a show and wouldn’t work without Batman or Bruce Wayne, but fear not because this is more than a villain in a superhero show, it’s a great crime drama in its own right. It’s a bloody and violent crime drama that’s a lot of fun to watch unfold. Check out our short version of "Yellowstone" Season 5, Episode 2, “The Squid Game” Season 2 and more of the most anticipated new and returning series coming to TV and streaming.
